Just a short note to let you know that our Kaust is now known here under the name Tart (he did refuse the name Raspberry Bitch, which I would found a lot more fitting, but our users are king and may choose their own names Smile)

Thanks Ex-Kaust and New-Tart for a new word in my vocabulary Very Happy .

Well Marina, you must have a good dictionary because Sue looked up her German-English dictionary and squealed yikes "Whore!!!"

devil2 I must say I like the tart taste, raspberry Torte, and also the "other" connotation Wink

Rob, cool pics: now who wants to eat stones?

Oh! So my "Wicked German" book is correct! Germans like to mix their words of love with pastry…

Here is a sample of conversation at a bakery (from that book)!

Ich kann in der Nacht nicht schlafen, da ich an Ihre Kuechlein/Marmalade denke (I can't sleep at night thinking of your muffin/marmalade)

Geben Sie mir Ihre feinste klebrigsuessen Broetchen/bayerische Sahne (Give me your finest sticky buns/ Bavarian cream)

Ich moechte in Ihren Gugelhupf beissen (I want to bite your Bundt cake)

Sie bringen mich um (You're killing me!)

Morgen zur gleichen Zeit? (Same time tomorrow?)

Tarte Tante (Auntie Tart)

Marisa, it took my hours Shocked to find out what glomp means, not even Merriam-Webster-Online knew the word Grinning .
